This essay will lead the concept of conjunction – that is the “and” of the Star of Redemption – back to the philosophical idea of “mediation”. First of all, I will discuss the role that this mediation plays in Rosenzweig’s system, by confronting his statement with Hegel’s formulation. As a second step, I will deepen the role that mediation plays, against Hegel again, and his idea of christianity, in Rosenzweig’s reconstruction of Judaism
